From this page you can upload a file with 3D point data to the reconstruction server. We will run the reconstruction algorithm and give you an URL from where you can download the result.
The time the computation takes depends on the charge of the server, and on the size of your data. It takes a couple of seconds per 10,000 points.
The file format is x0 y0 z0 ...... xn-1 yn-1 zn-1. The separator may be arbitrary whitespace. Each number must be an integer or floating point number that fits in a double. The algorithm has one parameter depending on if it has boundaries (e.g., a terrain) or if it has no boundaries (e.g. a complete scan of a body).
We tested uploads of data sets with 100,000 points. The machine where the reconstruction algorithm is executed should support data sets of up to 500,000 points. If you plan to perform extensive tests, we can provide you an executable so that you can evaluate the algorithm locally.
We will not make your data accessible to third parties without your explicit authorization. Note that you should not transmit confidential data as this connection is not save, and as systematic poking around on this server should allow others to download your data.
