On this page we present three reconstructed models.
Our reconstruction of the knuckle only has four boundary edges. As boundary edges for an object without boundaries means a need for postprocessing, it is an important quality of a surface reconstruction algorithm generate them sparsely. Click on the overview to download the Vrml model.
Concerning sharp edges, the visual quality of the output may be unpleasant because of a 'sawtooth' effect, even when the reconstruction appears is topologically correct.

This model is perfectly reconstructed though it contains sharp edges at joints. Click on the overview to download the Vrml model.

The reconstruction of this turbine part is perfect apart from some problems on the bounding box. A closer look shows that these are due to errors in the sampling. Click on the image to see a QuickTime movie.
